Celebrate the famous hotel's 146th birthday by feasting on the 7p afternoon tea at The Langham. While the standard Wonderland Afternoon Tea might be priced at £38.00, for one day only the Palm Court restaurant will be serving it up for the price it was originally sold for in 1865, just seven pence.

Anniversary special
Going for the modern day equivalent of one shilling and sixpence, the 7p afternoon tea at The Langham is bound to be a very popular affair. The special offer harks back to the days when polite Victorian society would while away the hours between lunch and dinner by taking tea in Palm Court and watch all the crowds go by along Regent Street.

Popular tea
With Palm Court recently winning a Tea Guild award for their outstanding afternoon tea, the anniversary 7p afternoon tea at The Langham is one of the cheapest ways to sample one of the best teas London has to offer. A range of teas are available on the menu, and you can get advice on the best tea to suit your tastes from The Langham's tea sommelier.

Sandwiches and pastries
A variety of delicate finger sandwiches are available on the 7p afternoon tea at The Langham menu, including cornfed chicken with honey mustard, poached Scottish salmon with creme fraiche, and the elegantly refined cucumber and cream cheese. The tea also includes warm scones with Devonshire clotted cream and strawberry preserve, as well as blackcurrant and hibiscus syllabub, mini cupcakes and Valrhona chocolate mousse.

The 7p afternoon tea at The Langham offer is available on Friday 10th June 2011. There are a minimum of 60 anniversary teas available, with sittings at 11.30pm.

Booking for the special anniversary tea opens at 8am, Tuesday 10th May 2011. For more information and to make a reservation, click on the link below.
