Famous chefs
The Action Against Hunger auction and dinner will feature dishes created by some of the top chefs in London and the UK, with Heston Blumenthal, Angela Hartnett, Fergus Henderson and Herbert Berger all in the kitchen. The event will be held at Herbert Berger’s 1 Lombard Street, a Michelin-starred restaurant in The City.
Charity dinner
Guests at the Action Against Hunger auction and dinner will start the evening with a Champagne reception, followed by a four course meal created by the celebrity chefs. Several fine wines selected by the UK’s leading sommeliers and wine experts will be served along with the meal. The evening’s theme is turning wine into water, representing the charity’s goal to fight hunger and malnutrition across the globe.
Auction
Lots going under the hammer at the Action Against Hunger auction and dinner include a meal for two at El Bulli in Spain, often voted as one of the world’s best restaurants. You’ll also have the chance to bid on a private dining evening for 12 at Corrigans restaurant, two Jereboams of Felton Road Block 2006 Pinot Noir and a Swarovski crystal-decorated lace kimono courtesy of Agent Provocateur. Items in the auction are worth in excess of £3,000, plus guests will also receive a complimentary gift bag from Agent Provocateur.
Action Against Hunger
All proceeds from the evening will benefit Action Against Hunger, a charity dedicated to ending poverty and malnutrition in children and adults all over the world. The charity works with over 40 countries and each year helps nearly 5 million people with their efforts.
