Africa Rising tickets are now available to see some of the world’s most famous faces take to the Royal Albert Hall stage to raise awareness for Thisday’s Africa Rising, a festival aimed to find sustainable ways of ending Africa’s problems. Africa Rising tickets will enable Londoners to support this worthy cause, in the company of some of the biggest stars in the world.

Star studded affair
Those lucky enough to get their hands on Africa Rising tickets will be treated to a huge array of global superstars. Christina Aguilera will be stepping up on a UK stage for the first time since the birth of her son, followed closely by our very own soul legend, Seal. Both will be serenading the crowd with some of their best songs so if you’d like to see them live in London, pick up some Africa Rising tickets and head for the Royal Albert Hall.

More famous faces
Joining Christina Aguilera and Seal to lend their support to Thisdays Africa Rising festival is African megastar, Youssou N’Dour who’ll be bringing his soulful sound to proceedings. It won’t only be music however, with international designer such as Chris Aire and Ozwald Boetang bringing stunning catwalk shows featuring none other than supermodels Naomi Campbell, Alek Wek, Tyson Beckford, Oluchi and Liya Kebede.

A global event
The Africa Rising festival has also been to Nigeria and Washington, with the final event taking place at the Royal Albert Hall right here in London. The three previous shows were a huge success, especially in Washington where Jay Z and John Legend rocked out at one of the most talked about concerts in the US. The London leg of the Africa Rising festival looks set to be just as good, and hopefully raise just as much awareness for such a worthy cause.

An important subject
The Africa Rising festival was the brainchild of Africa’s leading media source, Thisday. Thisday’s aim is to raise awareness of the problems Africa faces but instead of merely ensuring people notice, Thisday focuses on finding sustainable solutions to alleviate and eventually cure the continent’s plight. Africa Rising is one way of achieving this, by showcasing the renaissance in Africa’s arts, music, fashion and culture.

Thisday’s Africa Rising featuring Christina Aguilera, takes place at the Royal Albert Hall on 14th October 2008. To purchase Africa Rising tickets please call the Royal Albert Hall box office on (020) 7589 8212.
