An exhibition of African art at October Gallery looks at the wide and varied artistic practises across the continent. With innovative and dynamic contributions from all over Africa, the African art show, Angaza Afrika also celebrates the launch of a new book compiled by the curator of the African galleries at the British Museum.

Angaza Afrika is a Swahilli phrase that means "shed light on Africa" and is the title of both the book and the exhibition. With all the pieces inspired by or representing Africa, show of African art at October Gallery is a stunning collection of vibrant and stunning work.

Installations, paintings, appilque and textiles are all represented in the exhibition, and visitors to the show will find the colours, sights, culture and experiences of Africa in each and every piece of work. On show until the 28th June 2008 the exhibition of African art is collected in Anganza Afrika, published by Laurence King Publishing at £25.00.
