After Hours at Natural History Museum invites you to catch up with the latest exhibitions, enjoy a drink or two and take part in special late night events. Taking place on the last Friday of every month (except December), the After Hours sessions are the perfect opportunity to see exhibitions that you are otherwise too busy to catch during the day.

Natural History Museum invites you into the famous galleries and exhibition hall for a monthly event. Catch the latest exhibitions, head to the Red or Blue Bars for a cocktail, enjoy some live jazz or world music in the Central Hall and see the famous fossils in the Dinosaur Gallery.

Special events
The next late night opening is on Friday 25th May 2012, when many of the museum's special exhibitions will stay open late. Visit the Natural History Museum's exhibition on Captain Scott's last expedition to Antarctica in 1910 - 1913, or see the amazing specimens in the Animal Inside Out show. Visiting late night exhibitions is the perfect way to see the latest shows without the hustle and bustle of lots of daytime visitors.

Live entertainment
Other events taking place during the next After Hours at Natural History Museum include a reading of Scott inspired poetry from Kiran Millwood Hargrace, accompanied by folk guitar music from Jake Wilson. There's also live jass in the Central Hall, a discussion event on displaying the dead, and a late night opening of the world renowned dinosaur gallery.

The next After Hours at Natural History Museum takes place from 6pm - 10.30pm on Friday 25th May 2012. Entry to the museum is free, but standard prices for exhibition tickets apply.
