Agatha Christie Tea Dance

Prepare for murder on the dancefloor at the Agatha Christie tea dance when the Southbank Centre celebrates the 120th anniversary of the iconic British crime fiction writer.

Clore Ballroom event
Taking place at the Clore Ballroom within the Royal Festival Hall, the Agatha Christie tea dance marks the 120th anniversary of the crime writer's birth with a free dance inbetween Christmas and New Year. Slip into your best pair of retro style dancing shoes and come dressed to kill for the event, where you can expect plenty of vintage glamour.

Live music
A live band will be providing plenty of hits from the 1930s and 1940s at the Agatha Christie tea dance. And if you need a break from the dancefloor, you can always head to the bar and try the bespoke Christie cocktail, created specially for the event.

Film screening
As well as all the live music, dancing and cocktails at the Agatha Christie tea dance, there's also the chance to catch sight of Albert Finney as the iconic Belgian detective Poirot, as the classic Christie film Murder on the Orient Express will be shown throughout the event. The tea dance brings to an end a year of celebrations marking the 120th birthday of Agatha Christie.

The Agatha Christie tea dance takes place from 11am - 6pm, Monday 27th December 2010. Admission is free.
