Akram Khan's first appearance at Sadler’s Wells will showcase his stunning dance skills, as he brings his hugely popular show, Gnosis, back to the capital. Inspired by the Mahabharata tale of Queen Ghandari, Akram Khan will bring the tale of the queen who blindfolds herself to join her blind husband and goes on an exploration of inner knowledge and discovery. It's a critically acclaimed show, so expect tickets to seel very fast.

Those fortunate enough to get their hands on Akram Khan tickets will also be able to see the legendary dancer take centre stage for a second set of dates, as he performs to an emotive soundtrack from Nitin Sawhney, as last year's collaborative show, Confluence, makes a very welcome return. Sawhney and Akram Khan have collaborated before, to huge success with Bahok and Zero Degrees, and if the popularity of those shows are anything to go by, expect Akram Khan tickets to be in steep demand once again.

The Akram Khan solo show will showcase just why Akram Khan is revered as one of the finest dancers the world has to offer. Often combining traditional Indian dance with Western contemporary dance, Khan is one of the leading components of the cross-cultural expressions of dance and music, often very ably assisted by collaborator Nitin Sawhney, most notably in the multi-award winning Zero Degrees which also took place at Sadler’s Wells.
