An exhibition on Alien at London Film Museum takes place throughout October to mark the release of all four of the celebrated space horror films on Blu-ray at the end of the month.

Alien at London Film Museum
Bringing together a collection of props, costumes and storyboards from the series of Alien films, the exhibition is the first of its kind to take place and will no doubt attract a great deal of attention from fans of the genre. Having hit the silver screen more than 30 years ago, starring Sigourney Weaver and directed by Ridley Scott, Alien is seen as one of the classic spaceage thrillers of the 20th century.

Full scale model
If the words, "In space, no-one can hear you scream," send shivers of fear down your spine, then the exhibition on Alien at London Film Museum is the show for you. Featuring a full scale model of the Alien creature, you can see just how scary it is for yourself. Other pieces on show include Sgt. Apone's outfit from Aliens and along with accessories such as the Hero Pulse Rifle. Back stage memorabilia will also shed light on how the monster was created and how it became one of the most memorable space creatures to appear on film.

Alien history
The very first Alien film was released in 1979 and it garnered much critical praise as well as becoming one of the best loved spaceage horror flicks of its generation. With three sequels and two prequel films following on from the original, the Alien franchise has become a significant part of film history. Celebrating the release of the Alien Anthology, which sees material united from every home video release of the Alien saga in one Blu-ray collection, along with over four hours of previously unseen material and a Making Of documentary, the exhibition on Alien at London Film Museum is the perfect way to mark the occassion.

Alien at London Film Museum takes place from 10am - 5pm Monday, 10am - 6pm Tuesday - Sunday and Thursday 11am - 6pm. The show runs from Tuesday 5th October - Sunday 31st October 2010.

Tickets are £12.00, £10.00 concessions and £8.00 for children aged 5-15. Under 5s are free.
