Kids and family can explore the world of Amazing Butterflies at Natural History Museum over the summer as a tropical butterfly house and giant outdoor maze is open to the public. From the wriggly caterpillars to the butterflies emerging from their cocoons, the Amazing Butterflies installation will enchant and inspire.

A great way to get children intertested in wildlife, the giant maze is an enormous interactive butterfly attraction that allows kids to shrink down into the undergrowth and experience life as a caterpillar.

The wild maze is full of giant leaves and grasses that tower above children's heads and once you emerge at the other end, you will have transformed into a beautiful butterfly. But along the route, there aremany dangers lurking around the corners, like the Velcro passionflower that traps young caterpillars, and many caterpillar eating predators who are waiting to pounce.

Amazing Butterflies at Natural History Museum also houses plenty of fun games and activities for children to participate in. They can climb inside a chrysalis and emerge flapping the wings of a giant butterfly, become the centre of attention by attempting a butterfly courtship dance and soar down the zip slide and fly like a real butterfly.

Once your kids have emerged from the giant maze, you can delight them with the experience of some really amazing butterflies at Natural History Museum. Walk into the stunning butterfly house and take in the magic and beauty of the free flying tropical butterflies. A range of incredible species are on show in the house, meaning you can come face to face with butterflies from Asia, Africa and America, and see the beauty and behaviour of a huge variety of these incredible creatures.

There is plenty to learn about these fascinating and beautiful insects in the special exhibition, and throughtout Amazing Butterflies at Natural History Museum you can find out why some caterpillars disguise themselves as snakes and why the Monarch butterfly flies 5,000 kilometres across America every year.

On at the Natural History Museum until the 17th August, Amazing Butterflies is a fantastic interactive experience for kids and family to enjoy over the holidays.
