A brand new Andy Warhol exhibition is on show at the Olyvia Fine Art Gallery this spring, entitled Andy Warhol Portraits. Fifteen minutes of fame
Having captured the idols of the 50s and 60s on his colourful, pop art canvases, Andy Warhol became synonymous with the fleeting nature of fame and the destructive nature of celebrity. He was one of the most influential artists in the latter half of the 20th century, and still remains one of the most copied artists ever, with tributes and rip offs of his works on gallery and living room walls all over the country. Andy Warhol Portraits, the Andy Warhol exhibition at Olyvia Fine Art Gallery is on show from 10am - 6pm Monday - Friday, and 12pm - 6pm Saturdays. The exhibition takes place Tuesday 16th March - Sunday 9th May 2010. Entrance is free.
