The third Animal Art Fair London event takes place in April this year as around 40 different artists bring their animal inspired art to show and sell. Whether you are into dogs, cats, horses or even unicorns in your art, the Animal Art Fair will have plenty of pieces on display to tempt you.

Animal Art Fair
London is home to plenty of different art fairs, but the Animal Art Fair is the very first one of its kind. Featuring both established and up and coming up artists, this is your chance to browse art of an international standard that features a variety of different fauna.

Mixed media
Not only will you be spoilt for choice with the range of different animal art on show, but the fair also plans to represent a wealth of artistic media too. Paintings, drawings, sculpture and photography are all represented, meaning you are sure to be able to find that oil painting of a rabbit or ceramic cow model that you've been searching for.

Home of art
Having spent its first two years at Fulham Palace, the Animal Art Fair London show moves to Riverside Walk on the South Bank for 2012. With a huge marquee and a special sculpture garden located within minutes walk of the Tate Modern, the National Theatre and the Hayward Gallery, this new location is the perfect spot for a day of browsing and buying art.

Famous animals and artists
Much of the work on show at the fair comes from well known animal artists including the likes of Beatrice Ridley, Jeremy Houghton, Kate Denton, Anna Wright and Nick Jeffrey, who feature at the 2012 show. Another famous name whose work was on show at the 2011 Animal Art Fair is Philip Blacker who is renowned for his life size bronze statue of the racehorse Redrum.

2012 charity
As the Animal Art Fair features only artwork based on - you've guessed it - animals, many charities it has previously teamed up with than have centred around animals. But this year's charity partner rings in the changes with the Angus Lawson Memorial Trust,a children's charitable trust which aims to help many of the world's most marginalised children, by offering food, medical aid and survival support. They also offer grief and bereavement support to both parents and children in the UK.

The Animal Art Fair London event takes place from 11am - 6pm, Thursday 17th May - Sunday 20th May 2012 at Riverside Walkway. Tickets are £8.00 in advance or £10.00 on the door. Concessions and children under 16 go free.
