An exhibition by Anish Kapoor at Kensington Gardens takes place this autumn and winter where the Turner Prize winning artist has installed a collection of his amazing sculptures. Taking over the familiar landscape with his enormous steel structures, this outdoor exhibition is certain to become just as popular with visitors as the gardens themselves.

Anish Kapoor at Kensington Gardens
Bringing together a collection of large scale outdoor sculptures, all made from polished stainless steel, the exhibition which is entitled Turning the World Upsode Down, will dramatically change the face of Kensington Gardens throughout its duration. With giant curving mirrored surfaces reflecting the surrounding grass, trees, sky and water, the exhibition creates illusory distortions all around the park.

Art reflecting life
Organised by the Royal Parks and the Serpentine Gallery which is located in the park, the exhibition by Anish Kapoor at Kensington Gardens features several sculptures that have never before been seen in London as one coherent show. Set in different locations to reflect different aspects of the park, the pieces will highlight the changing colours and seasons in their polished surfaces, while at the same time working as works of art in their own right.

Recent exhibitions
A retrosepctive of Kapoor's work at the Royal Academy in 2009 was the last exhibition of his to take place in London, and although he has been commissioned to create an enormous tower like sculpture for the Olmypic Park, that won't be complete until 2012. Therefore fans of his work will no doubt be thrilled to see more work by Anish Kapoor at Kensington Gardens ahead of the unveiling of the brand new piece.

Turning the World Upside Down, the sculpture exhibition by Anish Kapoor at Kensington Gardens takes place from 6am - dusk, Tuesday 28th September 2010 - Sunday 13th March 2011. Entrance is free.
