A stunning Annie Leibovitz exhibition takes place at the National Portrait Gallery until February 2009. Annie Leibovitz, A Photographers Life 1990 - 2005 encompasses the famous photographers life during the 15 year period and includes some incredibly touching and personal pictures of her friends and family, along with many famous faces.

Famous photography
Annie Leibovitz is renowend for capturing the portraits of very famous actors, filmstars and other artists. But in this exhibition you can expect to see members of Annie Leibovitz's own family. Alongside the likes of Jamie Fox, Nicole Kidman and Brad Pitt, there are pictures of her personal friends and close family, that are no less stunning.

Classic images
Annie Leibovitz is renowned the world over for her classic photography style and her images have become synonymous with various different famous people. The picture of Demi Moore shown on the cover of a famous US magazine, when she was 8 months pregnant has become an iconic image for the actress, and other pictures of George W Bush with his cabinet at the White House, summed up the political feeling at the time.

Forming the heart of the Annie Leibovitz exhibition is this personal and heartwarming collection of images taken from key points in the photographers life. The births and childhoods of her daughters, family holidays and reunions with friends all form part of these touching pictures, reminding us that famous artists have personal lives too and giving us a great insight into the life that Annie Leibovitz lives as a mother and friend too.
