Art in the Park

The grand finale of the 2011 Brockley Max festival, Art in the Park features arty workshops, face painting, Capoeira and more interactive events specially aimed at kids and families.

With finger puppet workshops and lessons on acapella singing, ceramics painting and drumming to name just a few, Art in the Park is bound to unleash your child's creative side. The finale of the Brockley Max festival takes place on Hilly Fields around the stone circle art installation, overlooking Lewisham and the City.

Fun for all
Other fun and free events taking place as part of the Art in the Park festival include a Zumba workout which combines aerobics with African, Caribbean and Latin moves. The Francis Drake Bowls Club is also joining in with all the fun with a free Bowls Bash, so bring some flat soled shoes and have a go on the lawn.

Art and more
Stalls from local artists and designers will be making an appearance at the Art in the Park, alongside the Jam Circus Bar where you can unwind and enjoy a drink or two. And if all the art, workshops and games leave you with a healthy appetite, there's always the Max Barbecue, too.

Art in the Park takes place from 12pm - 5pm, Saturday 4th June 2011. Admission is free.
