The tale tells the story of a young lady, Lemon, and how she is drawn into the fascinating world of Aunt Dan, who regales her with exotic, intimate and daring insights into the adult world. This exploration of compassion, violence and ideology was first shown in 1985 and remains as powerful and resonant as it did then.

Jane Horrocks
Aunt Dan and Lemon is part of the Royal Court Theatre’s season of Wallace Shawn’s plays, and brings some great talent both onto the stage and behind it. As well as Jane Horrocks, there’s direction from Dominic Cooke, design from Lizzie Clachan and lighting from Jon Clarke, ensuring that this production of Aunt Dan and Lemon looks like an impressive addition to the London theatre scene.
