Australian Jewellery Exhibition London

Australian jewellery exhibition
London is home to some of the best and most innovative jewellery designers in the world, but during Februry it welcomes Felicity Peters all the way from Australia with her award winning collection of jewellery. Featuring gold, silver, gemstones and colourful acrylics to create her work, the exhibition showcases her collection inspired by her recent travels.

International inspiration
The pieces on show as part of the Australian jewellery exhibition at Lesley Craze Gallery include work by Felicity Peters that was inspired by her travels to Poland, Italy and the USA. Part of the collection features work influenced by Etruscan and Korean Keumboo art, which used precious metals and gemstones, while the other part showcases computer aided design and funky plastics to create vibrant necklaces, earrings and bracelets.

Exhibition highlights
Certain to be one of the most talked about pieces featured at the jewellery exhibition is the ring inspired by a Jewsih memorial in Krakow that represents all the furniture left behind when the Jewish populaton were sent to to the concentration camps. The ring features 52 miniature chairs that balance precariously on one another and on the ring itself.

Award winning collection
Having won over ten highly acclaimed Australian art development awards, Felicity Peters is certain to attract a lot of attention with her Australian jewellery exhibition. She has exhibited internationally for the past 15 years and used her last award winning grant from the Australian Government's Department of Culture and the Arts to travel around the world.
