Celebrating the arrival of several new cafes and shops in the Bankside area, the Bankside Mix launch party is set to be a night of great entertainment for all. With events taking place all along Canvey Street, Sumner Street, Southwark Street and Great Guildford Street, you can catch a fashion show, see live graffiti art, and grab a bite or two to eat from one of the brand new venues opening up that day.

The Bankside Mix launch party is celebrating the opening of the cool new Bankside Mix, a funky area with plenty of eclectic bars and restaurants, shops and the location for plenty of entertaining events. Located behind the ultra cool Tate Modern and the world renowned Shakespeare's Globe theatre, Bankside Mix is set to be the newest and coolest venue, and one of the hottest cultural destinations in the city.

Helping things get off to a flying start the Bankside Mix launch party will see demostrations from street dancers performing a mix up of hip hop, body popping, locking and freestyling, beat boxing from the world's largest beatbox choir, demonstrations of graffiti art from New York artists Sholto, DJs performing throughout the afternoon and evening with all kinds of music, and a fashion show from Joy.

Various different food venues will be inviting you to get a taste of their cuisine as the Bankside Mix eateries show you what they've got. Del Aziz, Tsuru and Leon will be providing nibbles to all launch party goers, and Crussh will be handing out free vouchers for smoothies. Taking things to a more classical level, Viva Verdi will be putting on live street opera performances to entertain you while you munch.

Coinciding with the Bankside Mix launch party, the London Festival of Architecture has events taking place at institutions up and down the river, with coordinated late openings and live events in their open spaces. The Hayward Gallery is joining in the party atmosphere with its 40th anniversary late opening of the Psycho Buildings exhibition, while the Design Museum will also be opening its exhibition on Richard Rogers late as well.

Along with films at the BFI Southbank, live installations at the National Theatre and dance performances at Potters Fields, the Bankside Mix launch party has something for everyone with a refreshing mix of arts, culture, music, dance and entertainment throughout the evening.
