I'm just joined this club and I have to agree with the recent reviews on here. The attitude of the staff is abysmal. It's not pleasant to be 'greeted' by a miserable receptionist with an attitude problem every time you use the gym. Not welcoming at all. I wish I'd stayed at Bloomsbury Fitness First.

I am a member here , and I agree with Tim , while some of the staff are fine , there is a lady on the desk who is often rude. What is wrong with this place ? the pool is not cleaned enough , repairs are not done , and private lessons (more dosh for Duncan ) clog up the pool at peak times in the evenings , making a modestly sized pool impossible to use for us paying members. On other evenings Aqua -aerobics take place , also at prime time . these are run by a Hitler like female who does't allow paying members in the pool during the classes,combined with a general with a general air of decay and grot ...... well, it's cheap .

I've been using this gym for almost a year now. The facilities are satisfactory and there is a good range of classes available to members. The gym is always very clean and tidy.

What really lets this gym down is the customer service on the reception desk. I recently took a guest with me who was genuinely thinking about joining the club. As soon as we arrived and paid (for my guest) the girl on reception was SO rude that my friend had already decided not to join, before we had even got down to the gym area. It was a shame as it ruined the whole experience and I was embarrassed at the girl's attitude. When I complained about this through the Bannertyne's website, the follow up of my complaint was equally as poor. I was promised a complimentary guest pass. However, when I asked the reception about it, I was not given anything. Not impressed :-(

You can see how Duncan built his empire so successfully. This is a brilliant health club. May enrol in one of their classes this year. Anyone else a member?
