Barbican Lates invites you to stay up late with their regular events. With access to the current art exhibitions and a variety of exciting and unusual live performances, there is always something intriguing worth staving off the moment when you put on your pyjamas.

Barbican Lates event
Once a month or every two months, the Barbican throws open its doors for a bonanza of evening and late night events. Sometimes inspired by the current art exhibitions or shows taking place at the venue, the Lates are always crammed full of the latest arts and music performances, with an opportunity to grab a drink or two, and sometimes a dance as a DJ spins the wheels of steel until the wee small hours of the morning.

Late night exhibitions
As the Barbican Art Gallery is open until 10pm every Thursday, you can catch the latest art exhibition on show at your leisure. After work or even after the pub, this is your chance to see some art and grab some culture without hoards of tourists crowding the gallery and taking up all the space.

This month at Barbican Lates
In addition to the late night gallery opening every Thursday, a special event takes over Barbican Lates for January as music fans get the chance to enjoy a special collaboration between Leafcutter John, members of the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Guildhall school musicians. Enjoy an exclusive night of electronic music, soundscapes, a live set by Leafcutter John and more throughout the Barbican foyers.

Barbican Lates takes place in the foyer areas of the Barbican from 10pm, Saturday 28th January 2012 and is free to attend.
