Sure to be one of the highlights of the 2009 London Literature Festival, the Benjamin Zephaniah at Southbank Centre show starts at 7.30pm on Friday 10th July. Introduced by artist in residence Lemn Sissay, the event in the Queen Elizabeth Hall is set to be a huge draw for fans of poetry and contemporary literature.

Contemporary poetry
Influenced by his Jamaican roots and his childhood in Handsworth, Benjamin Zephaniah has become one of Britian's most high profile and celebrated contemporary poets. Famous also for delining an OBE from the Queen, and for his animal rights and anti-racism politics, the exclusive Benjamin Zephaniah at Southbank Centre show is bound to provoke and entertain in equal measure.
