Best of Bond Weekend

Celebrate the best of Bond, James Bond with a special weeked of Bond films at the Barbican cinema. Held alongside the James Bond and Ian Fleming exhibition at the Imperial War Museum, the weekend will see the top five Bond films as voted for by the public screened at the Barbican.

For 44 years, with 21 films, and in six different movie incarnations, James Bond has been a regular on our cinema screens. Celebrating the centenary of his creator's birth, the Best of Bond Weekend gives you the chance to relive the antics of the dinner suited special agent, as he shoots, smooches and suaves his way through five of the best films.

Whether you like your Bond with the Scott touch of Sean Connery, the camp innuendo of Roger Moore, or the buff and beefcake of Daniel Craig, James Bond is an enduring film hero who appeal seems to go from strength to strength. And that's not including the bevvy of beautiful Bond girls who have graced the screen from the word go. Ursula Andres, Honor Blackman, Halle Berry and Denise Richards are just some of the lucky ladies who have got to grips with James Bond over the years.

The best villains will also get an airing during the Best of Bond Weekend, with the likes of Scaramanga and his third nipple, Blofeld and his cat, Rosa Klebb and her flick knife shoes and Jaws and his metal teeth all in the running. Dr No, Moonraker, Diamonds are Forever, Licence to Kill, Goldeneye, and Casino Royale are just some of the likely choices for a full on weekend of Bond viewing.

Voting for the top five Bond films closed on 25th April. The four winning James Bond films that will be screened over the special weekend are:

Goldfinger - 8:45pm Saturday 7th June
Casino Royale - 6pm Sunday 8th June
Dr. No - 8:45pm Sunday 8th June
