Go on a trip to India and back this Christmas with The Bollywood Trip at Southbank Centre. The musical drama features Indian dancers and Danish actors in a multicultural, technicolour celebration of the power of dance.

Musical drama
A stage adaptation of Parminder Singh's love story, The Bollywood Trip at Southbank Centre features live music, flying dancers and high drama in one of the highlights of the venue's Christmas season. The show is the result of a collaboration between award winning stage director Rolf Heim and leading contemporary Kathak choreographer Gauri Sharma Tripathi, so audiences can expect to see something innovative and unique.

The story
Set in a psychiatric ward in Copenhagen, The Bollywood Trip at Southbank Centre follows the story of Haroon, a troubled young man who claims to be India's greatest Bollywood star. Mayhem ensues when Haroon persuades the entire hospital to take part in a lavish Bollywood dance.

Musical score
With live music from musician and composer Stephan Grabowski and band, The Bollywood Trip at Southbank Centre is bound to be a colourful, musical and uplifting addition to the Southbank Centre's Christmas offering. The shows take place in the Queen Elizabeth Hall, with extra daytime performances on Saturday and Sunday.
