Bompas and Parr Magic Pancakes

Get some top tips on how to turn Shrove Tuesday into a magical spectacular in your own kitchen at the Bompas and Parr magic pancakes workshop. The food alchemists and jellymonger duo are hosting an exclusive evening at The Fifth Floor cafe within Harvey Nichols ahead of Pancake Day 2011.

Proving that it really is fun to play with your food, the Bompas and Parr magic pancakes event gives you all the help and advice you need to turn your kitchen into a science laboratory and surrealist playground hybrid for Pancake Day. From making glow in the dark pancakes to turning your crepe topping into gold, there's plenty of expert advice on how to amaze your friends and family with extraordinary pancakes on Shrove Tuesday.

Magic kits
If you're lucky enough to get tickets for the Bompas and Parr magic pancakes workshops you'll also be entered into a draw to win one of ten handmade magic kits, which contains all the essentials you need to make your own culinary magic at home. Billed as the world's first entirely edible magic kit, the laser cut plywood box contains an array of potions, syrups and powders to help you become a bona fide kitchen magician.

Dinner and a magic show
As well as the Bompas and Parr magic pancakes show, ticket holders can also enjoy a lavish three course dinner at The Firth Floor, as well as welcoming cocktail on arrival and the chance to win one of the ten limited edition magic boxes. An Evening of Magic Pancakes has been organised in collaboration with Lyle's Golden Syrup, and the sweet, dense syrup features in many of the magical pancake demonstrations.
