Bond Street Christmas Lights

Christmas lights
Bond Noel on Bond Street is one of London’s highlights and attracts a host of visitors every year looking for the very best in famous name stores. This reaches fever pitch at Christmas time as people flock there to find presents for loved ones and to get in the Christmas spirit with the stunning illuminations that are traditionally displayed.

Festive fun
Bond Street is once again getting suitably festive this year as the fantastic Bond Noel takes place again on Thursday 18th November 2010. This great traffic free shopping event sees snow falling, fir trees lining the pavement, carol singers, ice sculptures, street entertainers and more, all combining to make a seductive festive atmosphere. For those of you still looking to shop, rickshaw sleighs will be on hand to fly you off to your favourite store, making your shopping even easier this year.

Celebrity guest
In addition to the fantastic entertainment on show for the 2010 event and of course, the shopping, will be the annual switching on of the Bond Street Christmas lights. This much loved event is always one to look forward to and this year is no different as a special guest celebrity once again does the honours. Last year, actress Anna Friel flicked the switch on a stunning set of illuminations, and the 2010 fabulous event features Lisa Snowdon.

Festive charity
What’s more, Bond Noel is all for charity so just by turning up and showing your support you’ll be doing something good for the community. This year's event is in aid of the Great Ormond Street Hospital and all funds raised go to ensure that the hospital remains one of the best child healthcare hospitals in the world.

Luxury prizes
In order to raise money for the charity there’s a luxury Bond Street Tombola, offering visitors the chance to win over exclusive prizes. This year's prizes include luxury gifts from the likes of Asprey, Cartier, DKNY, Bally, Tiffany and Co., Montblanc, Burberry and hundreds of pounds worth of vouchers for top Bond Street stores. Unique gift experiences have also been donated by Claridges, the Ritz, Brown's Hotel and the Royal Academy of Arts.

Bond Noel comes to London from 5pm - 8pm, Thursday 18th November 2010. The Christmas lights will be turned on at the corner of Burlington Gardens and Old Bond Street at 6pm.

Please note that Bond Noel is not taking place in 2011. For more information about the Bond Street Christmas lights, click on the link below.
