With a number of local venues joining together to create a musical extravaganza, the Brick Lane Music Festival brings to the East End a plethora of great acts all willing and able to make your weekend rock. With the likes of the Disco Shed Soundsystem at Big Chill Bar, King Cannibal and Rico Caszza at Cafe 1001 and DJ Kingpin at All Star Lanes, you can be sure that the day will contain more musical brilliance than you can shake a stick at.

Festival highlights
The Vibe Bar plays host to some brilliant live acts over the course of the weekend, including Demolition Man, Ampasound, Mr Thing, Sleepy Time Ghost and Smash Hits. As well as Disco Shed Soundsystem presents Mr B and the Gentleman Rhymer, Big Chill gives you such gems as Ill Commotion and The Monitors, DJ Rags and DJ Khalil, whilst Rhythm Factory brings you a fantastic selection of sets, including Tornado Wallace, Kiwi, Harry James and Kezo Kichi.

Special events
But it's not all music at the Brick Lane Music Festival; All Star Lanes is hosting a Shake Rattle and Bowl special featuring bowling sessions for those lucky enough to get a wristband, and there's also a special late night party at a secret warehouse location over the weekend. Brick Lane will be buzzing with activity thoughout the day and into the wee small hours of night, with a fantastic line up of live entertainment to keep everyone happy.

More festival events
Meanwhile over at the Cafe 1001 and Vibe Bar, the Brick Lane Music Festival gets even more diverse with a true carnival atmosphere. Music and DJs including MC Zani and Reeps One, Formula and Creole, Sam Seed and Arjuneration are all in the mix at these two venues, making this year's festival one not to be missed.

The Brick Lane Music Festival runs from Saturday 17th September - Sunday 18th September 2011. Admission is free, but you must obtain wristbands in advance.

The wristbands for the event are available from Big Chill Bar, Vibe Bar, Cafe 1001, Rhythm Factory and All Star Lanes in the weeks leading up to the festival. When collecting your free wristband, you can also make a donation to the Musicans' Benevolent Fund.
