Attended a private party here, so this review doesn't necessarily reflect the day to day experiences people might expect to have, but the bar service was so appalling it bears mention.

None of the staff had the first idea how to manage or serve behind a bar. Even completely basic stuff like how to pour Coke without it frothing up and over the top of the glass seemed to elude them. Mixing drinks was completely out of the question and the overall attitude was incredibly surly and unhelpful.

Bar stock was very low, ice was being brought up loose in Tesco bags from elsewhere in the bar - really a very poor show. Prices were also eye-watering - £5 for a bottled cider?

That said, the hot food provided was quick, delicious and very reasonably priced, with the staff responsible for this being efficient and friendly. The only aberration on the food side was a huge vat of penne pasta which had been delivered with - for reasons which remain a mystery - a thick coating of margarine, rather than the cheese or cream you would ordinarily expect.

We had a great experience at this little restaurant. The staff were very friendly, helpful in food choice and well mannered. This makes a change from many dining experience I have had in London. The 3 course deal for £16 was excellent value. The place was full on a tuesday night and yet our food was hot, on time and very tastey. Simple in presentation but as long as it tastes good thats what counts. Thanks guys for a brilliant night. Shame I leave the country for good next week. But I will tell all, starting now.
