Pedigree
The BRIT Awards themselves began in 1977 to celebrate British music, with their official moniker of the Britannia, or BRIT Awards, taking hold in ’89. Since their inception they’ve courted considerable controversy, not least with Jarvis Cocker’s infamous mooning of Michael Jackson in 1996. 2012 will no doubt see more of the same so if you want to be a part of the action, pick up your tickets and head to The O2 Arena for one of the biggest nights of the year.
