For a dark and delicious night out, try on the Burlesque Esque show for size. Jam packed full of sexy burlesque acts, cabaret, live music and comedy, this event in an underground theatre beneath Charing Cross Station is bound to get pulses racing.

Sexy sirens
With burlesque sirens from the Kitten Club adding to the steampunk atmosphere and compere M. Jacqui providing enough ironic wit to keep the evening moving along, the Burlesque Esque show provides otherworldly delights for your winter nights. The decadently glamourous and aptly named burlesque stars include Gwendoline Lamour, Roxy Velvet, Fancy Chance, and Rita MenWeep.

Sultry songs
Jazz inspired musicians will also be on hand to get your toes tapping and feet dancing. The Burlesque Esque show features some live performances from acclaimed jazz trio The Anthony Strong band to inject some cool tunes and heartfelt soul into the night.

Laugh out loud
On selected nights, the Burlesque Esque show will also feature popular stand up acts from the worlds of television and the Edinburgh festival. Comedy acts include Red Dwarf's Danny John-Jules, Lucy Porter and Scott Capurro.

The Burlesque Esque show is at New Players Theatre and runs from Tuesday 4th November - Saturday 20th December 2008. Show times are 8pm Tuesday - Friday, 7.30pm and 10pm Saturday. Tickets are £15.00 - £35.00. For more information and to book your ticket, follow the link below.
