Burns Night is the annual celebration of the seminal Scottish poet Robert Burns, alive in the 18th Century. The event takes place on 25th January each year, on Robert Burns’ birthday, and is traditionally celebrated with poetry, song and a hearty Burns Supper.
Burns Night at HarrodsHarrods will be serving up a suitably stylish Burns Night, offering guests the chance to sample some of the finest whiskies the world has to offer. You can also feast on a delicious Burns supper, with haggis, neeps and tatties all on the menu. Tickets for Harrods Burns Night have now sold out.
Rob RoyEnjoy traditional Scottish food and drinks at Rob Roy. They'll have a traditional ceilidh band, bag pipe players plus complimentary Scottish food specialties.
AlbannachScottish favourite Albannach will be serving a six course gourmet supper, along with all the traditional Burns Night displays, including a traditional piper to pipe in the haggis. After dinner head to their elegant bar for some ceilidh dancing and customary Celtic tunes. Reservations are required. Prices are from £125.00 per person.
BoisdaleLasting from Monday 14th January - Saturday 26th January, Boisdale's celebrations will make you think you're up in Scotland. Expect all the classic Burns Night traditions, complemented with bagpipes, set menus featuring Scottish sourced ingredients and plenty of whisky. Reservations are required. Prices range from between £47.50 and £69.00.
Blueprint CafeLast year, The Design Museum's Blueprint Cafe held a three course meal with wine, accompanied by author Sue Lawrence's talk on Scotland's finest foods. 2008's festivities look set to be just as good with another of the quality Burns night London events that will be taking place this year.
Hackney Cyclists Burns NightCelebrate Burns Night in London at the 12th annual Hackney Cyclists Burns Night dinner and dance on Saturday 26th January. Vegetarians and vegans are welcome. After dinner there'll be dancing courtesy of The Muckers.
Ceilidh ClubEnjoy traditional Scottish dancing courtesy of the Ceilidh Club, who will be holding three separate events on Friday 25th January and Saturday 26th January at Hammersmith Town Hall, as well as a third event at the Camden Centre on the 1st February 2008. There'll be free haggis, neeps and tatties included in the price of the tickets.
Instant London Social LifeIn 2007, the Instant London Social Life held a fantastic Burns Night social at the Hops Cellar on Southwark Street, which had a three course dinner and plenty of opportunity to meet new people. 2008's event has not been confirmed yet so please check back for more information.

Charity Burns NightThe Grand Hall in Fulham's Town Hall welcomes along a fantastic Burns Night all in aid of charidee.
