Come over all festive at the Camden Christmas lights switch on, which sees rising star Katy B flick the switch during a traffic free day along the high street.

With Camden High Street closed to traffic for the day to give pedestrians free reign of the streets, the Camden Christmas lights switch on is bound to be a popular affair with families and festive revellers of all ages. There's likely to be a real street party feel to the opening ceremony, with live music and celebrity appearances as well as the chance to browse the 1,000 market stalls.

Katy B
Rising dubstep and RnB star Katy B is turning on the 2010 Camden Christmas lights, and also giving a live performance of her new single, Lights On. As well as the live performance by Katy B, other entertainment on the day comes from comedienne Amy Lamé, as well as the Greek version of Lady Gaga.

Christmas shopping in Camden
Camden's 1,000 market stalls will be open during the car free Camden Christmas lights switch on, so there's no excuse not to get your Christmas shopping well and truly underway. There's also a range of unusual gifts available at Camden's markets across the festive period.

The switching on of the Camden Christmas lights takes place on Camden High Street at 4.25pm, Sunday 21st November 2010. The traffic free Christmas party takes place from 11am - 4.30pm.

Camden High Street will be closed to traffic north of Camden Town tube station from 10am - 6pm, Sunday 21st November 2010.
