As the drama comes to a thrilling conclusion at Wimbledon, school children are being offered the chance to attend the Camden Tennis Festival, where they can pick up a racket, have a game of tennis and even receive professional coaching from one of the country’s top coaches.

Game On
With Andy Murray proving that British tennis players can compete with the big guns of international tennis at Wimbledon, the interest in the sport has never been so intense. You may have already been inspired to dust down your racket, don your shorts and head down to your local park to have a knock-about. The extra interest comes with a price however, a lot of the public courts are full and a game at a private club can set you back a fair few quid. That’s why the free sessions at the Camden Tennis Festival is a great way to get the youngsters involved without it costing an arm and a leg.

Sports Week
The Camden Tennis Festival is part of the National School Sports Week, which has seen coaches from the Gosling Sports Park centre of excellence go to schools in Camden to give them tennis taster sessions and free pro advice. Not only is this a great way of getting kids to become more active but it also may uncover some tennis stars of the future.

Final Countdown
After the kids are put through their paces at the Camden Tennis Festival, all eyes will turn to Sunday’s main event – the Men’s Final. One of the biggest and best events in the summer’s sporting calendar, there’s one big question for tennis fans: will history be in the making come Sunday afternoon?
