Live music at Trafalgar Square
A main stage at Trafalgar Square will be home to a line up of live performances and international artists, direct from Canada. Highlights of concert for Canada Day at Trafalgar Square include acclaimed performers Amy Nelson, Daniel Bernhard, RnB band Loaded Dice and Gasoline Alley, who will be covering hits by Canadian musicians such as Alanis Morrisette and Nickelback. Music fans can expect an eclectic mix of performances, including pop, RnB, rock and country from 12pm onwards on Wednesday 1st July 2009.

Free Canada Day London Events
Last year marked the return of Canada Day at Trafalgar Square, bringing the festivities to the heart of Central London. For 2009, Canada Day London is back once again with twice as much fun and entertainment. Sample Candadian food such as Bison burgers, sip on Canadian beer, catch some top comedy and see high speed street hockey as Trafalgar Square is taken over by everything Canadian. Hundreds of Londoners, Canadians and visitors to the capital will be out to join the party and celebrate all things Canadian.

Family Fun at Trafalgar Square
On Canada Day itself, 1st July, Trafalgar Square will be home to events including arts and crafts for kids, street performers and street hockey, the summer version of Canada’s national sport all from 12pm onwards. The atmosphere promises to be bubbling with festivities, with plenty for children and adults to enjoy. Children can get their faces painting and sign a huge card to say happy 142nd birthday to Canada.

Visit the Maple Leaf
The Maple Leaf in Covent Garden will be the place to be to celebrate Canada Day with a drink or two in an authentic Canadian bar setting. Be warned however, the venue is likely to be more than a little busy on the day, so expect crowds. For further information on the Maple Leaf, click on the link below.
