Treat yourself to a mini holiday at the Emirates Stadium this winter by visiting the Stadiums of Happiness Canary Islands exhibition for a taste of warmer climes. The 14 day event will use state of the art technology to entertain families and promote the landscape and culture of the popular tourist destination.

Banish the winter blues
Designed to give visitors a virtual trip to the archipelago famous for its clear blue water and volcanic rocks, the Canary Islands exhibition is a multimedia experience with lots of activities for young and old alike. One of the attractions will be a replicated Canary Island beach complete with water, sand, and palm trees to get everyone in the holiday mood.

Sporting adventures
The recreation zone at the Canary Islands exhibition has a number of simulators to let you try out some popular adrenaline sports. As well as hang gliding and jet ski simulators, there will also be a mechanical surfboard for fun loving and adventurous types.

Unwind and relax
While touch screen displays of water sports and golf courses might get you thinking about your ideal holiday, the hydromassage beds are bound to provide instant relaxation and a few giggles too. Don't worry about having to take your clothes off - the hydromassage beds use innovative technology to give a sensuous massage whilst making sure you and the water stay separate. Fruit juices produced by the summer sun will also be available to sample.

Gastronomic days
With its strong emphasis on fresh seafood and tropical fruits, Canarian cuisine stays true to its island roots. From Monday 1st - Wednesday 3rd December, two Canary Islands chefs will be making authentic regional dishes and will be on hand to provide tips and advice for aspiring cooks to take home.

Special treats
After 5pm from 1st - 3rd December, women visiting the exhibition will be offered a massage, facial treatment and make-up session as an indulgent treat. Children can enter a drawing competition which has as its prize a family holiday to the Canary Islands, so a day out at the Emirates Stadium could lead to a much more exotic family outing.

The Canary Islands exhibition runs from 10am - 8pm, Monday 17th November - Wednesday 3rd December 2008 at the Emirates Stadium. Entrance is free. For more information, click on the link below.
