Canary Wharf Big Screen

Showing a whole host of events from tennis to opera and pop concerts to athletics, the Canary Wharf big screen gives you access to some of the summers biggest events, and all for free! Showing on the giant outdoor cinema screen throughout June and July, the Canary Wharf big screen shows events as part of the Canary Wharf Summer Series and is the place to see all the action from the world of sport and music, courtesy of the BBC.

Summer Series 2009
Featuring the epitomy of summer, the Wimbledon tennis championships, you can see all the big hits and aces from both the mens and ladies games, plus the doubles matches at the close of the tournament. There is also the chance to see the action from the Formula 1 British Grand Prix.

Live opera
Music is also the order of the day as two of the biggest performances are screened live from the Royal Opera House. Settle down to watch the moving performance La Traviata on Tuesday 30th June, and then see The Barber of Seville on Wednesday 15th July, both courtesy of the BP Summer Screens.

Sports a plenty
Carrying on until July 2009, the big screen at Canary Wharf continues to show all the best in sporting events with the cricket Twenty20 finals and Royal Ascot. Perfect for sitting out in the sunshine and taking in the atmosphere, the Canary Wharf big screen is surely one of the best ways to enjoy the summer in London.
