With three days dedicated to the best jazz around, the Canary Wharf Jazz Festival kicks off a celebration of this most innovative of musical genres. With eleven bands from all over the world performing at the festival, you can be sure there will be something to suit any taste.

Jazz stars
Some of the most cutting edge contemporary jazz is set to be performed during the Canary Wharf Jazz Festival, which aims to provide a platform for the most promising up and coming musicians around. The players that you see today at the jazz festival could be the rising stars of tomorrow, who will be the regulars on the jazz scene in the future.

Range of styles
From classic modern jazz sounds to free form musical improvisation, the Canary Wharf Jazz Festival will be a sure fire hit with every jazz lover in town. With fresh new faces and great talent from all over the UK, the mix of musical styles and musicians should make for a great celebration of this brilliant genre. Proving that there is no such thing as standard jazz, the guys on stage will no doubt have you toe tapping and getting up for a boogie as the festival goes on.

Grand finale
Four bands, four concerts and an entire afternoon of jazz to end the festival on Sunday 14th August, there will be no better venue in London to hear brilliant, enthusiastic, talented and cool jazz music this weekend. With influences from soul, hip hop, gospel and just good old swing jazz, you can be sure to enjoy this celebration of jazz to its fullest.
