The event is taking place as part of the Coin Street Festival, a series of free outdoor festivals along the South Bank this summer. With a large chunk of the summer still ahead, you can expect a lively day of revelling with London’s older community.
Join the fun
The festival feature a wide range of events, activities and attractions, with live music, demonstrations, workshops, exhibitions and more. Crowds will be out in force to make the most of the weather and join the party in Bernie Spain Gardens.
Traditional entertainment
No matter what age you are you can expect plenty to keep you busy at the festival, with everything from music and dancing to refreshments. There will also be lots to take home from arts and crafts stalls, offering something special for visitors on the day.
A relaxing day out
For a break from letting your hair down you can relax and take a little light refreshment in the tea tent at the Capital Age Festival. The atmosphere will be vibrant and relaxed throughout at what promises to be a top day of free entertainment.
Capital Age highlights
Special events at this year's Capital Age include performances by The Hoxton Singers, Leap of Faith, Will Gaines and Swing High All Stars. There's also entertainment from Entelechy Arts, Green Candle Senior Singers and Spare Tyre.
The Capital Age Festival at Bernie Spain Gardens takes place from 2pm – 6pm, Sunday 10th July 2011. Admission is free.
