Celebrity Carol Concert

Celebrity Carol Concert

When

6.30pm, Thursday 9th December 2010

Where

St Pancras Church, Euston Road

Join celebrities for traditional Christmas songs at a celebrity carol concert for charity. The evening will be full of celebrities doing Christmas readings and solos, all to raise money for Age UK, the new name for the charities Age Concern and Help the Aged.

Christmas carols at a famous church
A Star for Christmas is held at St Pancras Parish Church on Euston Road, a church as popular for its architecture as its services. Consecrated in 1822, the inspiration for the church's design came from the Ionic Temple of the Erectheum on the Acropolis. There’s no better location for a celebrity carol concert than a church that prides itself on its acoustics and stunning good looks.

Singing celebrities
Famous celebrities singing for charity at past Star for Christmas concerts have included include favourites such as Sir Roger Moore, Lionel Blair and June Whitfield. This year's celebrities will do special Christmas readings and also solos.

Sing for charity
Proceeds from the celebrity carol concert will go towards Age UK, and in 2010 the charity needs even more help than ever to support its Spread the Warmth campaign to reach over 350,000 older people and help them keep warm, healthy and in touch with the wider community.

A Star for Christmas celebrity carol concert takes place from 6.30pm, Thursday 9th December 2010 at St Pancras Parish Church on Euston Road. Tickets cost £10.00 - £20.00. For more information, call 020 7239 1922 or email events@ageuk.org.uk.
