Celebrate a Century of Olympic Posters with a brand new exhibition at V&A Museum of Childhood. Looking back over the last 100 years of Olympic Games branding and poster design, the Century of Olympic Posters exhibition explores the fascinating world of sportsmanshiop and propaganda.

The London Olympic Games are due to hit town in 2012, but there is plenty to keep you occupied until then. Sportsmen and women are all over the media, and there is still a chance for the young athletes of today to make a name for themselves in four years time. If you fancy learning more about the modern history of the Olympics, then the exhibition of Olympic posters at Museum of Childhood is the place to start.

A Century of Olympic Posters explores the ways in which this four yearly sporting tournament has come to represent the pinnacle of sporting achievement and the ways in which different countries have advertised their own brand of Olympics. With exhibits taken from the Victoria and Albert Museum's collection of posters, you will be able to trace the development and changes in attitude towards the games throughout the Olympic posters exhibition.

Fascinating pictures from the past unravel the history of the Olympic Games in the modern era, and it gives you a chance to look back at the last time the Olympic Games came to London in 1948, when the city was still recovering from the effects of the Second World War and rationing. Celebrating the athletes of the past and championing the ones of the future, a Century of Olympic Posters will be enjoyed by young and old, atheletic sports fans, and those that would rather enjoy from the comfort of their armchair alike.

A Century of Olympic Posters is on show at the V&A Museum of Childhood until the 7th September 2008 and coincides with the 2008 Olympic Games being held in Beijijng.
