If you fancy learning more about the modern history of the Olympics, then the exhibition of Olympic posters at Museum of Childhood is the place to start.

A Century of Olympic Posters explores the ways in which this four yearly sporting tournament has come to represent the pinnacle of sporting achievement and the ways in which different countries have advertised their own brand of Olympics. With exhibits taken from the Victoria and Albert Museum's collection of posters, you will be able to trace the development and changes in attitude towards the games throughout the Olympic posters exhibition.

Fascinating pictures from the past unravel the history of the Olympic Games in the modern era, and it gives you a chance to look back at the last time the Olympic Games came to London in 1948, when the city was still recovering from the effects of the Second World War and rationing. A Century of Olympic Posters is on show at the V&A Museum of Childhood until the 7th September 2008 and coincides with the 2008 Olympic Games being held in Beijijng.
