The tower at Guys Hospital is the highest structure in London that it is possible to abseil down making it one of the most exciting ways to raise valuable funds for the Jennifer Trust for Spinal Muscular Atrophy.

Not only is this charity abseil at Guys Hospital the chance to challenge your fears, but you will be aiding the cause of the Jennifer Trust too. Raising awareness and funds, the abseil is a very important event in the charity's calendar. The Jennifer Trust is a ntaional charity working to provide support to all those affected by spinal muscular atrophy, which is a genetically inherited muscle wasting condition, which one in forty of us carry the affected gene for.

In its severest form the condition is the biggest genetic cause of infant death in the UK today, meaning that the disease affects many people in London and across the country. The support and awareness provided by the charity abseil at Guys Hospital will continue to provide vital support and information services, as well as fund cutting edge research.

If you would like to take part in the Guys Hospital abseil this summer, you can register for a place, by emailing allison.pratt@jtsma.org.uk for more information.
