Celebrate Charles Dickens' birthday at ECC Chinatown by sampling one of three 1850s inspired cocktails and raise a glass to the hugely influential Victorian author on the 200th anniversary of his birth.

Punch recipes
With a range of Victorian inspired punch recipes available over three days of celebrations for Charles Dickens' birthday at ECC Chinatown, there's every opportunity to toast the much loved author in traditional style. Sip on a Scotch based tipple called the Pickwick Club Cocktail or choose from one of two hot gin punches, the Bleak House Punch and Oliver's Twist Cocktail.

Fitting atmosphere
During the Charles Dickens' birthday at ECC Chinatown celebrations there's also the chance to step back in history and sample the Medwin, a popular 19th Century drink comprised of gin and warm water. The Experimental Cocktail Club will be kitted out in vintage books during the celebrations, and the bar team will be wearing Dickensian attire to add to the atmosphere.

7th February
Dickens' 200th birthday falls on 7th February, and to mark the anniversary there'll be a live band playing tunes throughout the night. At other times during the Charles Dickens' birthday at ECC Chinatown celebrations there'll be DJ sets to keep everyone entertained.

Dickens at 200
