This year marks over 50 years of the Singapore Chilli Crab dish, one of the country’s most famous culinary exports. To celebrate the occasion Tiger Beer has teamed up with top London venues to present a two day Asian fusion festival, with plenty of food, drink, fun and festivities in London.
Join the party in Brick Lane
Brick Lane will once again be bubbling with traditional Singaporean entertainment and attractions, transforming the area into a little slice of Singapore in London. Visitors to the Chilli Crab festival can sample some authentic far eastern flavours to a backdrop of live entertainment before partying into the night. Local DJs such as Cosmic Truth, Ashley Beedle, Reverse 68 and Discobox will be on hand to provide a suitable soundtrack to a weekend of colourful fun.
Dive into Singapore
Visitors to the Tiger Beer Singapore Chilli Crab Festival London can indulge in Singapore culture by sampling the unofficial national dish of crab meat drenched in a fresh tomato and chilli sauce. This year, chefs from the famous London restaurant Awana will be cooking the delicious Chilli Crab dish for nigh on 8,000 festival goers, meaning that the crowds on Brick Lane will be able to sample some truly top notch cuisine.

Festival goers can enjoy their Chilli Crabs with a bottle or two of Tiger Beer, thought to be the perfect accompaniment to the popular dish. The Tiger Beer Chilli Crab Festival takes place at the Big Chill Bar, Brick Lane, from Saturday 22nd August - Sunday 23rd August 2009. The festival runs from 12pm - 12am on Saturday and 12pm - 4pm on Sunday. Entry is free, and the chilli crab dishes cost around £6.50.
