Chills in the Chapel

Back for another Halloween special, Chills in the Chapel returns to Union Chapel for two nights of terrifying horror films. With a backdrop just as spooky as the films you will be treated to, the chapel will be home to the screams of the terrified for the two nights in the run up to Halloween itself.

Screening in the gothic Union Chapel with candles and atmospheric lighting, Chills in the Chapel invites you to get spooked out for Halloween 2011. A great set of horror films will get you in the perfect Halloween mood as Chills in the Chapel raises money for the Union Chapel Tower restoration fund.

Classic horror
Presenting two classic horror movies, Chills in the Chapel invites you back into movie history with a selection of vintage horror films. Kickstarting the film series is The Blair Witch Project on Saturday 29th October, which is followed by the spine tingling Invasion of the Body Snatchers the next night.

Things that go bump in the night
The ultra low budget Blair Witch Project certainly caused a stir when it was first released back in 1999, and 13 years on the film still retains the power to scare. The second film to be shown is the 1978 thriller Invasion of the Body Snatchers, starring Donald Sutherland, Brooke Adams and Jeff Goldblum. The screening of Invasion of the Body Snatchers takes place on the eve of Halloween itelf and promises plenty of suspense, so prepare to watch from between your fingers.
