A Chinese calligraphy and painting exhibition takes place at City Hall during February to mark the Chinese New Year. Welcoming in the Year of the Tiger on Sunday 14th February, there will be plenty of Chinese art and culture on show in London to celebrate.

Chinese calligraphy and painting
The exhibition at City Hall features more than 30 different Chinese artists, who have created artwork in the traditional calligraphic and painting style. Featuring landscapes, figures and scenes from the natural world, the Chinese calligraphy and painting exhibition invites you to step into the world of the Chinese artist and experience the world through their eyes.

Chinese art
Painting and calligraphy have a long history in China, with nature and the landscape being common subjects for represenation. Working in the traditional style, the Chinese calligraphy and painting exhibition brings together artists to highlight the fine skill and patience required to be able to master both these decorative artforms.

The Chinese calligraphy and painting exhibition takes place from 8.30am - 6.30pm, Monday 1st February - Friday 19th February 2010 at City Hall. Entrance is free.
