Celebrate Chinese New Year at Gilgamesh amid Chinese lanterns and traditional decorations. The pan Asian restaurant is laying on a sumptuous feast so you can welcome in the Year of the Tiger in lavish style. Chinese New Year at Gilgamesh The popular Camden venue will be transformed into a Oriental paradise for Chinese New Year at Gilgamesh, with traditional decorations and beautiful Chinese lanterns setting the scene. You can raise a toast to the Year of the Tiger with an exotic Mandarin Fizz cocktail, which includes the citrus fruit traditionally eaten at Chinese New Year to bring health and prosperity. Special menu To celebrate the Chinese New Year, the Gilgamesh chefs have created a special menu inspired by traditional New Year cuisine. Diners might want to try the Yee Sang salad, made of salmon, vegetables, pickled garlic shallots and plum sauce for something out of the ordinary, or opt instead for roast Peking duck wrapped with pancakes, cucumber, sping onion and Hoisin sauce. Chinese New Year at Gilgamesh is celebrated on Tuesday 16th February 2010. For more information and to make a reservation, call 0871 971 4361.
