Chinese New Year at Harrods

Celebrate the start of the Year of the Tiger with traditional celebrations for Chinese New Year at Harrods.

Please note that this event is not taking place in 2011.

Lion dance
As part of the Chinese New Year at Harrods celebrations, there is a traditional Chinese Lion Dance. The special parade starts outside Door Five, close to Knightsbridge Tube Station, and winds its way through the cosmetics department and the Food Halls on the ground floor.

Food Hall specials
Kids and onlookers of all ages are bound to love all the colour and performances of the Lion Dance, but there are also a number of special foodie events taking place in the run up to the parade. Try the special Peking duck pizza at the Pizzeria, sample authentic Chinese cuisine at the Xin Dim Sum Restaurant, or revel in the Oriental flavours of the green tea and lychee ice cream at Morelli's Gelato.

The special food for Chinese New Year at Harrods runs from Monday 8th February - Sunday 14th February.

The Lion Dance starts at 11.45am, Sunday 14th February 2010. The event is free to watch
