Chinese New Year at Ping Pong is set to be a fantastic time as the Chinese tea house and dim sum emporium celebrates the beginning of the Year of the Dragon. With free cocktails, dim sum classes and special dishes, the special events will have Chinese food and drink lovers eager to celebrate and welcome the Chinese New Year in style.
Year of the Dragon
As part of the Chinese New Year celebrations, Ping Pong are offering free cocktails to those lucky enough to have been born in previous years of the Dragon, such as 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976 and 1988. Just bring along your ID to get a free sample of the limited edition cocktails, such as the Dragon Kumquat featuring rum, fresh kumquats, amaretto, apricot puree and basil seeds, or the Dragontini, a mix of Smirnoff Black vidka, prickly pear, fresh lime, lychee liqueur and basil seeds.
Chinese New Year dishes
Diners also have the chance to sample a special menu featuring a variety of baked, fried and steamed dishes. Wu Xiang lamb spring rolls, seafood wraps, braised beef rice pot, sweet basil seafood soup with prawns, mussels and water chestnuts and much more during all the New Year celebrations. Prices start at just £3.95 a dish.
Classes and special events
As well as the Chinese New Year at Ping Pong menu, there's also plenty of special events taking place within the restaurant to keep all ages happy. Take part in free daily mixology classes to learn how to make the limited edition dragon themed cocktails, or take part in free dim sum classes to learn how to make the delicious little food parcels at home. at the Westbourne Grove and Marylebone restaurants there's also face painting for the kids on 28th January - 29th January and 4th February - 5th February.
