Celebrate Chinese New Year at Shanghai Blues with a night of live entertainment to mark the beginning of the Year of the Dragon.

Lion dance
A special Chinese lion dance will take place to welcome in the Year of the Dragon. This tradition is usually performed to dispel any bad luck from the previous year, and will be performed for Chinese New Year at Shanghai Blues from 8.30pm. The group leading the event are well practised at their art of lion dancing, which requires performers to study and understand the various moods of the lion to replicate in this traditional dance.
