Get ready for a spectacular series of fizzes, bangs and pops in Trafalgar Square at the Chinese New Year fireworks display. London families, kids and fireworks fans of all ages are sure to be out in droves to see the free display, which is lighting up the West End with firecrackers galore.

Free event
The Dragon is meant to symbolise ambition as well as passion and success, and the latter two attributes are bound to out in force at the Chinese New Year fireworks display London event. Expect plenty of colour and noise at the fireworks and firecrackers show, which is free and open to all ages and cultures.

Day long event
The Trafalgar Square fireworks show comes at the end of a day long celebration of the beginning of the Year of the Dragon. As well as the Chinese New Year fireworks display London event, there's lion dances, Chinese acrobatics and dragon dances in Trafalgar Square, as well as cultural stalls and street performances in Chinatown.
