Christmas at Kew
In the lead up to Christmas you can take a winter walk around the trees and historic houses, and enjoy the sounds of carolling before you head to the Orangery for some mulled wine and roast chestnuts or head off to meet Santa. The gardens will be sparkling with festive decorations and Santa will be in residence in his enchanted woodland grotto from Saturday 13th December - Tuesday 23rd December 2008.

Kids Christmas events
Every weekend throughout Christmas at Kew kids can take part in some delightful entertainment with the Climbers and Creepers games sessions. Art and craft activities will see them making wreaths, wrapping paper and table centrepieces using natural and recycled materials. The school holidays will also see plenty of fun for little ones, with craft sessions taking place from Friday 19th December 2008 - Monday 5th January 2009.

Christmas panto
For those that love pantos at Christmas, there is a chance to see the very special Kew Christmas Plantomime, where kids can enjoy a traditional pantomime with the addition of some interesting plantlife. The show takes place on Saturday 13th, Sunday 14th, December and then daily from Saturday 20th - Tuesday 23rd December at 11am, 1pm and 2pm. The performance is free to attend.

Festive fun for all
On New Years Day you can get into Kew for free to celebrate the the 250th anniversary of Kew Gardens, which sees the start of a year of celebratory events. With horse and carriage rides, Christmas music performances in the Orangery, guided tours and the chance to take part in some festive carol singing over the opening weekend, Christmas at Kew is a great time to visit the gardens and experience the delights this exceptional venue has to offer.
