Christmas at Kew

Have a magical Christmas at Kew this year as the botanic gardens are full of wonderful Christmas activities, events and special one offs. With visits from Father Christmas, vintage car rides and a chance to go on a guided winter walk amongst all the beautiful plants, Christmas at Kew Gardens is sure to be a spectacular time.

Christmas at Kew
In the lead up to Christmas you can take a guided Winter Evergreen walk around the trees and beautiful 300 acre landscape. The gardens will be sparkling with festive decorations, and Santa will be in residence in his enchanted woodland grotto from 10th December - 23rd December 2011.

Kids Christmas events
Throughout Christmas at Kew kids can take part in some delightful entertainment and arts and crafts activities at the Climbers and Creepers interactive area. There's seasonal face painting from 10th December 2011 - 2nd January 2012, and there's also an enchanting carousel ride on Kew Palace lawn between the same dates.

Santa's grotto
For those that love Santa's grottos at Christmas, there is a chance to see the big man himself at Kew, with Father Christmas setting up residence in the Princess of Wales conservatory. The festive grotto is open from 12pm - 3pm daily from 10th December - 23rd December. Kids accompanied by an adult are given free entry to Kew, and there's no extra charge to visit Santa Claus in his grotto. Kids and adults alike can also have a go on the miniature vintage car rides.

A tropical Christmas
If all the cold and dreary weather is getting you down this winter, you can enjoy a tropical Christmas at Kew Gardens by paying a visit to the spectacular glasshouses. From the steamy Palm House to the warm Temperate House, there's plenty of exotic sights to see, so visit the gardens and experience the delights this exceptional venue has to offer.
