Christmas at St Christophers Place

When

Christmas 2008

Where

St Christophers Place

Christmas at St Christophers Place looks set to be a fantastic affair once again as it celebrates the festive period of 2008 in style. What with the West End getting hideously busy in the run up to Christmas, the hidden gem that is St Christophers Place comes into its own and offers you a little haven away from the crowds on Oxford Street.

Christmas events
Previous years have seen Christmas at St Christopher Place transformed into a winter paradise of stunning illuminations, live music, seasonal sales and more. You can head down just to soak up what is a wonderfully festive atmosphere or you can find everything you need for Christmas at the many great shops that include Godiva, Mulberry and Coast and Whistles.

Festive spirit for 2008
There really is a lot going on during Christmas at St Christophers Place. The lights, which are always a real London highlight, will be lit up in November and remain up until Christmas. The results are pretty spectacular and make for a sumptuous setting in which to do your shopping or just to get in the Christmas spirit.

VIPs at St Christophers Place
A definite highlight for Christmas at St Christopher Place will be the VIP day on Saturday 6th December. Better described as the Very Important Pedestrians day, the road is closed off to traffic giving shoppers free reign on the streets. VIP day is celebrated in considerable style once again this year, with stilt band Top Bananas performing between 2pm - 5pm and Mrs Santa and her children entertaining the crowds from 12pm - 1pm.

Christmas trees
2007 saw the launch of the Christmas Tree Grotto where visitors could purchase Christmas trees, wreathes and festive foliage. The Christmas trees on sale were premium Nordmann and Nobills trees that are hand picked from sustainable forests so visitors could rest assured that they were not only buying the very best, but ethically too.

Live performances
There will also be live musical performance taking place during December so even if you get fed up with trying to buy presents for all and sundry, you can kick back and relax at one of the many cafes and restaurants with the soothing sound of festive songs ringing in your ears. Fridays provide to be extra special with music or choirs performing on the 5th, 12th, and 19th December.

Christmas at St Christophers Place takes place during November and December 2008 right up until Christmas.
